We all have that one thing that we are most insecure about: looks, abilities, fears, perceived failures, etc. Some people are quite vulnerable and open about the struggle while others try with all their might to ignore its existence. Regardless of your chosen approach, it’s still there as part of the human experience.
Adding Perspective
The insecurity can stem from the messages that we internalized from the people closest to us, strangers, societal expectations, and/or the media. The challenge lies in differentiating what is real from the distorted thoughts. How much influence do you allow it to have on your life? Does it shake the innermost part of your core or are you able to separate the facts from the fiction?
