Even though life can sometimes have a way of piling on one issue after another all within a short time frame doesn’t mean we should dwell on our issues and live in sadness, frustration, and anger.  There is a difference between acknowledging negative emotions and allowing them to poison other parts of your life. Acknowledging indicates that you accept how you feel and any potential issues associated with them while dwelling and becoming pessimistic can lead to a “victim mentality” in which there is a learned helplessness and sense of hopelessness regarding the current struggles.

Adding Perspective
This is not to say that we need to force positivity 24/7 but that clinging onto negativity feeds into itself and then can become a self-fulfilling prophecy because energy attracts similar energy.  If you emanate negative energy, it tends to repel healthy, positive individuals while attracting those people who tend to thrive on negativity.

Thoughts for the Week
So, find the people who lift you up or, at the very least, help to balance out your more difficult traits.  The people who are not the best for us aren’t necessarily bad people. Sometimes, it can just be a matter of how much their personality exhausts us; no matter what you do, you will never see eye to eye and you won’t feel comfortable around them.
